The Whitsunday Holiday Rentals – Prize Giveaway Terms and Conditions

The Prize

The prize consists of four (4) consecutive night luxe stay for up to six (6) guests at a property managed by Whitsunday Holiday Rentals (WHR). The property will be selected by WHR based on availability, the winner’s preferred dates, the number of guests and the suitability of available properties. The selected property must accommodate the winner’s group within its approved occupancy limit, and the final number of guests must be confirmed at the time of booking.

The prize includes accommodation only. Travel, flights, transfers, meals, beverages and other personal expenses are not included. The stay is subject to the selected property's standard occupancy limits, house rules and booking conditions.

 

Validity and Booking Conditions

The prize is valid for twelve (12) months from the date the winner is announced, and the stay must be completed within this period. Any unused prize will be forfeited after the expiry date. The prize is valid during low season only, as determined by WHR, and excludes school holidays, public holidays, peak periods and special event dates unless WHR agrees otherwise in writing.

All bookings are subject to availability, and winning the prize does not guarantee the winner's preferred dates or a particular property. WHR will work with the winner to select a suitable property based on availability, preferred dates, guest numbers and property suitability. The four-night stay must be taken over four consecutive nights and cannot be split across multiple stays.

The winner must contact WHR at bookings@whitsundayholidayrentals.com.au within fourteen (14) days of being notified, providing their full contact details, the number of guests and preferred travel dates or timeframe. Failure to contact WHR within this period may result in the prize being forfeited and an alternative winner being selected, where applicable.

The winner must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of booking and must be the primary guest responsible for the reservation and all accompanying guests. Once the dates and accommodation are confirmed, any requests to change the booking are subject to availability and WHR's approval. Additional costs arising from changes requested by the winner may be payable by the winner.

The prize is non-transferable, cannot be sold, gifted, exchanged or redeemed for cash, and must be booked by and used by the named winner.

 

Guest Responsibilities and Code of Conduct

The winner is responsible for ensuring all guests comply with WHR's standard booking terms, property rules, guest registration requirements, applicable laws and council regulations, and the Whitsunday Holiday Rentals Code of Conduct throughout their stay. All guests must respect the property, neighbours and surrounding community and adhere to the Code of Conduct, including requirements relating to noise, respectful behaviour and property care.

The winner is responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of and comply with these requirements. Any property damage, additional cleaning required beyond the standard departure clean, or other charges arising from a breach of the booking conditions will be the responsibility of the winner.

Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct or applicable booking conditions may result in the booking being terminated and guests being required to vacate the property, subject to applicable law. Any associated costs or charges arising from a breach may be payable by the winner. WHR reserves the right to apply its standard booking and guest policies, including any applicable requirements relating to the supervision of minors.

 

Social Media and Marketing

WHR would love the winner to share their holiday experience on social media and tag Whitsunday Holiday Rentals in relevant posts or stories during their stay. WHR may request permission to repost or share content created during the stay for promotional purposes. Any further use of the winner's content in WHR marketing materials will be subject to the winner's permission and any agreed usage conditions. The winner is not required to provide a positive review or endorsement in exchange for the prize.

 

General Conditions

WHR reserves the right to amend booking arrangements where reasonably necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, property maintenance, safety concerns or events beyond its reasonable control. This may include selecting an alternative suitable property where necessary. WHR will work with the winner to arrange a suitable alternative where possible.

Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes any rights or remedies available to the winner under applicable Australian Consumer Law. The giveaway is subject to applicable laws and regulations governing promotional competitions in Australia. Unless otherwise stated in the official giveaway announcement, this promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with any social media platform on which it is advertised.
