Baked Chocolate Cake Donuts
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Donut base:- 1 cup of plain flour
- ½ cup of caster sugar (or stevia)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoon NH Hot Chocolate Moon Mylk
- ÂĽ cup natural vanilla yogurt (or greek yogurt)
- ½ cup plant based milk
- 2 tablespoons Agave NectarÂ
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 2 teaspoons NH Hot Chocolate Moon Mylk
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons Plant Based Milk
HERE’S HOW TO MAKE IT:
Donut:- Firstly, preheat oven to 180*C and grease a donut tray.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and NH Hot Chocolate Moon Mylk. Mix together.
- In a larger bowel, mix together the yogurt, milk, agave nectar, melted coconut oil and vanilla essence until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture. Combine until no lumps remain.
- Place the donut batter into a piping bag and pipe the batter into the donut trays.
- Place into the oven and bake for 10minutes.Â
- Once baked, allow them to cool in the tray for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Once they have completely cooled, begin making the glaze.
- Combine the icing sugar, NH Hot Chocolate Moon Mylk, cocoa powder and milk together. Mix them with a whisk to ensure no lumps remain.
- Dip one side of the donut in the icing and allow them to sit and dry on a wire rack
- Top the donuts with your preferred toppings whilst the glaze is still wet.
- Once the glaze has cooled and hardened. Then ENJOY!
